Educational Alliance’s Manny Cantor Center is proud to partner with Lincoln Center for a second season of Boro-Linc programming! Boro-Linc brings FREE family music, art, film performances & workshops by Lincoln Center organizations to communities across all five NYC boroughs. As the inaugural partner in Manhattan, Manny Cantor Center is host to another exciting season of programming and events in 2017. See our full list of performances and workshops below. Seats are limited, and served on a first-come, first-served basis. Families are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes early to secure their seats!

As part of our celebration of Lower East Side History Month, we’re hosting a special FREE quilting workshop for our LES community in the Materials Center/Art School Studio A with Resident Artist Cozbi Cabrera.

Jazz at Lincoln Center presents
WeBop "Abc's of Jazz"
Sunday, January 15 | 3- 4:00 PM

Swing to your favorite nursery rhymes, stomp the blues away, solo like Satchmo, and jam with a live quartet as you and your child explore jazz. Recommended for ages 8 months to 5 years; all children must be accompanied by an adult.

Elena Moon Park
Sunday, February 26 | 2- 4:00 PM

Elena Moon Park & friends celebrate folk and children's music from all over East Asia, reinterpreted to mix various musical traditions, languages, styles, and stories. These tunes range from northern Japanese sea shanties to Tibetan jump rope rhymes, joyous Korean harvest sing-a-longs, and Taiwanese train songs, all captured on her premiere album, Rabbit Days and Dumplings.

The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center presents
Chamber Music Beginnings- Finding Forms
Sunday, April 2 | 3- 4:00 PM

Composer-in-training Wolfgang Amadeus Schmutzinberry has been commissioned to write some music for the local Pickle Parade. But, before he marches off, he needs to learn how to combine different melodies in clever patterns to create musical forms such as ternary, rondo, and theme variations.

Sonia De Los Santos

A soulful and important new voice in family music, Sonia De Los Santos spreads messages of joyful community music-making and builds bridges across cultures to inspire and excite children and grown-ups of all backgrounds. Blending both old and new songs, Sonia weaves a personal musical story that touches on universal themes of understanding.
