Last Tuesday, our Senior Advocacy Leadership Team Last Tuesday, our Senior Advocacy Leadership Team (SALT) visited Albany to rally in support of the New York Health Act, which aims to provide medical coverage for all New Yorkers. SALT and MCC staff gathered at the Capitol steps and had a meet and greet with @amgracelee.

She shares how powerful showing up for yourself can be. “Nine years ago, I joined MCC Fitness because I wanted to take better care of myself. Life had been 
busy and demanding, and I realized that if I didn’t intentionally make time for my health, it would always come last. I hoped to find a place where I could build a consistent routine, improve my physical health, and stay motivated—even on the days when it wasn’t easy.”

In honor of #WomensHistoryMonth, we've invited MCC In honor of #WomensHistoryMonth, we've invited MCC Fitness members—including staff who work out at the Fitness Center—to share what fitness means to them. Throughout the month, we’ll be posting #HerStory, a special series celebrating the strength, resilience, and personal health journeys of the incredible women in our community.

Gaby Peñaherrera Albigese, Associate Marketing Director at MCC, shares how working out has helped improve her mental health:

“Working out has become a form of self-care. If I start my day with some movement, I know I’ll feel more prepared to tackle any challenges that come my way. It has encouraged me to create healthier routines and keep myself accountable.”

Storm Update: Following guidance from New York Cit Storm Update: Following guidance from New York City, Manny Cantor Center and all programs will be closed tomorrow, Monday, February 23rd.

Program closures include MCC Fitness, Early Childhood @ MCC, EA Art School, the Askwith Kenner Family Resource Center, ReLoved Boutique, Edgies Teen Center, in person programming for WCBL, and all MCC and Educational Alliance offices.

Virtual classes are running as scheduled unless otherwise noted. Please check mannycantor.org for details and updates. As of now, we will plan to reopen on Tuesday, February 24th.
